Unity Spiritual Center Holistic Fair

Unity Spiritual Center offers much more than Sunday services, and the Holistic Fair to be held on Saturday, September 25, from 10am-4pm, is a great example of that. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to learn more about holistic services being offered by practitioners in the area.

There is no admission fee for this event; and practitioners will be offering a variety of services at a reduced rate, which include the following: Massage, Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, Mari El, DNA Activation, Emotional Cord Release, Shamanic Healing, Aura photography, Numerology, Intuitive Counseling/Readings, Macrobiotics, Essential Oils, the Oneness Blessing, Nutritional Counseling and more. There will also be an array of vendors offering items such as jewelry, books, crystals, etc. We’ll have fun activities for children, too!

In addition to enjoying the various practitioners and vendors, guests can also relax for a bite to eat at our outdoor coffee house and enjoy live performances by local musicians. Or they can do a walking meditation on our Circle of Grace labyrinth. Come enjoy a great day with like-minded people!

What types of shoes do you accept?

Soles4Souls accepts all types of shoes: athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, just as long as they are new or gently worn.

How do I know what is gently worn?

We define gently worn as shoes that you would still wear. They should have solid soles with no holes, laces if applicable, clean (no mud). We never like to see anything thrown away, so please, if there is any question, send the shoes along and we will sort and utilize the best possible way.

We received a letter from "Shelter Box USA" thanking us for our purchase of a Shelter Box.  The following is from the letter:
 
"As you know, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake stuck the Caribbean island of Haiti on January 12. . .Right now, emergency shelter for more than 100,000 people has now been pledged to the people of Haiti--thanks to the generous support of people like you, who are truly making a difference."
 
 The mission of ShelterBox is:  "to provide humanitarian aid worldwide in the form of shelter, warmth and comfort to people displaced by natural and other disasters."

Gold & Platinum Jewelry Collection

Lost an earring lately? How about that broken chain or necklace that lies around in your jewelry box. Old rings, little broken bits of things?

It doesn't matter how small or in what kind of shape it's in. If it's made of
gold or platinum, bring it in to Unity. We will take it and have it converted into
funds for our Center!

Deb Coscia is coordinating this fund-raiser, but feel free to give your donations-toward-the-cause to any board member. They'll make sure Deb gets them.
